Atiku wishes Peter Obi good life as he turns 61

On Tuesday, Peter Obi, the 61-year-old presidential candidate of the Labour Party, was honored by Atiku Abubakar, the PDP’s front-runner for the office.

The former vice president wished Obi many years of good health in an Instagram post, calling him his “close friend.”

“On behalf of my family, I congratulate my close friend, presidential candidate of the LP, and former governor of Anambra State, H.E. Peter Obi, a great 61st birthday celebration,” Atiku wrote beside a photo of the former governor of Anambra. I hope you live a long time in health and vitality.”

When Atiku ran for president in 2019 on the Peoples Democratic Party banner, Obi served as his previous running partner.

In spite of being candidates for the presidency, Atiku and Obi have remained friendly.

Atiku is my boss, my senior brother, and my leader. I’ll go to everything he invites me to. The fact that I’m running for the presidency does not mean I shouldn’t have close friendships with everyone.
